The Cary real estate market is hot! It’s a strong seller’s market and homes are selling quickly, often in just a few days and with multiple offers.
Cary began to see it’s real estate boom in the late 1980’s as companies moved their headquarters to the Research Triangle Park. The majority of homes in Cary have been built since then. There is less new construction in Cary now than you’ll find in nearby towns like Apex and Holly Springs.
The typical Cary home is built on 1/4 acre lot or less and has a two-car garage. Throughout Cary you’ll find subdivisions with amenities that include neighborhood pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, and greenway trails. Cul-de-sacs are a common feature in Cary neighborhoods.

Parks
There are plenty of great parks and greenways in Cary, but a personal favorite is Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. We started going there when our kids were small. It was a great spot to throw them in the backpacks and go out for a walk. We still go there regularly. It’s a beautiful that’s perfect for a quick nature escape.
One thing to keep an eye on is the new downtown park project that will soon be underway . . .
“Along with robust programming, the space will feature active performance places, farmers market spaces, public art installations, botanical gardens showcasing native plants, food and beverage facilities, a children’s nature play area, a dog park, and an elevated skywalk.” ~ Town of Cary
